Astragulus is a major Chinese herb known as Huang-qi. This is one of the superior tonic roots in traditional  Chinese medicines. Huang-qi with Asian ginseng is a well-known Chinese herbal prescription as a tonic for fatigue and general debility.

Invigorates vital energy (qi/ch’I),  strengthens the body’s superficial resistance, promotes tissue regeneration, promotes diuresis, suppurates poisons, drains pus, reduces swelling.
